Father's Day

Our Wedding 1980

2011
On this Father's Day I am truly blessed to be spending it with my wonderful husband, our children, and their families. I am blessed to have a husband who loves God with all His heart, and has modeled for his children what it is like to be a man of integrity. He is a man of great character who practices what he preaches. He loves his family and puts us above all else. He has always strived to provide for his family, not only financially, but emotionally, mentally, and spiritually, by spending quality time with us and loving us unconditionally. I am grateful that my children have had such a wonderful father. Thank you Don Day. I love you. AMLF

My First Blog Ever

I recall several years ago when I first heard the word, “blog.” My sweet mama heard Bill O’Reilly mention his blog and asked me what one was.  After goggling the definition, I went on to read several blogs on blogspot; teenage girls talking about breaking up with their boyfriends or women talking about what was going on in their favorite soap operas. Apparently, I went to the wrong blogs. I wasn’t impressed, and wondered why anyone would be interested in reading someone else’s blog. When my daughter began blogging, I read her blog and found it to be an inspiration to me. Maybe there was more to blogging than I had thought.  I began reading the blogs of others. Some were inspirational, some informative, and others just plain fun. I still had no intention of spending time actually writing a blog, that is until my Alabama etsy team began sharing their blogs with the team members. It seemed that everyone had a blog but me. So here I am. I’m going to give it a try. I’m going to write about some of my interests, vintage, healthy living, etsy, crafting, recipes, maybe travel…who knows; but besides a brief intro today, I want my first day of blogging to be dedicated to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to whom I owe everything. For by His sacrificial death on the cross, I have been forgiven and have eternal life. You can know my Savior too, by simply coming to Him, seeking forgiveness, and taking Him as your Savior. John 3:16 sums it up. May God bless you.
